The NION N3 industrial ozone generator (capacity 3g O₃/h) uses an aluminum-fin–cooled discharge chamber combined with an integrated air filter to remove dust and impurities from the inlet air. This protects the ozone chamber and ensures cleaner feed gas compared with low-cost ozone machines on the market.

NION N3 is suitable for water treatment, water sterilization, food decontamination, and industrial odor treatment applications.

Operating Instructions for the NION N3 Industrial Ozone Generator

The machine supports two operating modes: Cycle Mode and Continuous Mode.

1. Cycle Mode (T1 – T2 Settings)

• Set the running time (T1):
  Adjust using the first 3 buttons. Time units include Hours (H) / Minutes (M) / Seconds (S).
  Maximum programmable running time: 99 hours.

• Set the resting time (T2):
  Adjust using the last 3 buttons. Time units include Hours (H) / Minutes (M) / Seconds (S).
  Maximum programmable resting time: 99 hours.

Example:
To set “Run 10 minutes – Rest 20 minutes”: configure 10M – 20M.

2. Continuous Mode

Set the resting time to 00 (H/M/S) using the last 3 buttons.
The machine will run continuously until the power is switched off.

Application of NION N3 in Groundwater Treatment

Ozone (O₃) is a naturally occurring form of oxygen consisting of three oxygen atoms. The third atom is highly reactive and easily detaches, allowing ozone to quickly oxidize contaminants. This characteristic makes ozone extremely effective for treating groundwater, where it oxidizes pollutants such as iron and manganese into insoluble oxides that can be filtered out.

During these reactions, the by-products are only oxygen, water, and carbon dioxide, and ozone provides up to 90% sterilization efficiency within a short contact time. In many cases, ozone performs significantly better than chlorine.

Because ozone decomposes quickly, it must be generated on-site and injected directly into the water. For household well-water treatment, low-capacity ozone generators like the NION N3 are ideal.
In cases where the water contains high levels of iron or sulfur, pre-treatment or longer ozone contact time may be required to ensure full oxidation. A final filtration stage is always recommended.
